The staff at REST will work directly with your agency to develop a high-end, simulation-based tabletop exercise. These exercises are tailorable to both the nature of the emergency and who the intended audience would be; Command Staff, Mid-Line Supervisors, Emergency Planners or a combination of these. A minimum of three months of planning is required for a Tabletop Exercise, and will include a minimum of two planning meetings, one of which may be a site visit.
An operations-based exercise often employed to validate one or more operations or functions. REST will work with the requesting agency to develop a drill for one or more components of a Radiation Emergency Operation (REO). Each drill will be operated independently from the others, allowing for immediate feedback. A minimum of four months of planning is required for a Functional Exercise, and will include a minimum of three planning meetings, one of which will be a site visit.
An operations-based exercise is designed to test and evaluate capabilities and functions while in a realistic, real-time environment; however, movement of resources is usually simulated. A minimum of six months of planning is required for a Functional Exercise, and will include a minimum of three planning meetings, one of which will be a site visit.
An operations-based exercise that is typically the most complex and resource-intensive of the exercise types and often involves multiple agencies, jurisdictions/organizations, and real-time movement of resources. A minimum of one year of planning time is required for a Functional Exercise, and will include a minimum of six planning meetings, two of which will be site visits.
