Audience: Whole-Community

This unique event is designed to provide the Whole-Community responsible parties with an in-depth understanding of the DHS Radiological Dispersal Device Response Guidance updated in November of 2025. It begins with a review of a region’s Emergency Response Plans to an RDD/RED Event, followed by a tabletop exercise and step-stone drills. Once any issues have been identifed and deconflicted, the course ends with a wide-area exercise only REST can deliver.

Day 1: Community member introductions, Emergency Plans review, Tabletop Exercise and Focused / Stepping-Stone Drills

Day 2: RDD Deployment Event over a 2.5 square mile area, conducted in real time.

All sources are simulated and no active radioactive sources will be utilized in public.
